The Call is in Isaiah 62:6 – DON’T ILLINOIS MY VIRGINIA! STOP CALIFORNICATION.
Radical left-wing activists and deep-pocketed Democrat donors are flooding our Commonwealth with millions of dollars in an all-out effort to transform Virginia into “California East.” If we don’t take action NOW, our state will follow the disastrous path of Illinois and California—overrun by extreme policies that attack parental rights, expand government control, and undermine our Christian values and freedoms.
We have all seen what happens when the radical left seizes control. Just look at Illinois:
🚨 EXPANSION OF ABORTION RIGHTS – Governor J.B. Pritzker signed the Reproductive Health Act, enshrining abortion as a “fundamental right” while removing restrictions on late-term abortions and forcing taxpayers to fund them. This directly violates the sanctity of life and disregards the belief that life begins at conception. We CANNOT let Virginia become the next Illinois!
🚨 GENDER AFFIRMING CARE FOR MINORS – Pritzker’s administration has made Illinois a sanctuary state for gender transition procedures, including hormone treatments and surgeries for minors, shielding doctors from lawsuits. This is an assault on parental rights and God’s design for gender, pushing irreversible medical procedures onto vulnerable children.
🚨 MANDATED LGBTQ+ CURRICULUM IN SCHOOLS – Illinois law now requires LGBTQ+ history to be taught in public schools, forcing an ideology that conflicts with traditional biblical teachings (Matthew 19:4-6). This strips parents of their right to guide their children’s moral education according to their faith. Virginia’s left-wing politicians are eager to do the same. They shot down 147 family friendly, morally sound, freedom loving, pieces of legislation in 2025 and sought to make a constitutional amendment legalizing abortion and sex changes for minors without parental notification.
But the threats to Virginia don’t stop there.
ENERGY & CLIMATE EXTREMISM: CALIFORNIA-STYLE POLICIES THREATEN OUR FUTURE
The radical environmental agenda being pushed in Virginia is nothing more than a costly, unreliable, and ill-fitting experiment designed to mirror California’s disastrous energy policies. If we don’t stop it, our economy, energy grid, and everyday freedoms will suffer.
🔻 Emissions Mandates That Ignore Reality – Virginia’s Advanced Clean Cars program, modeled after California’s, would force a shift to zero-emission vehicles by 2035—an unrealistic burden on working families and businesses. Think about our rural counties like Augusta or Bedford, where electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure is sparse, and gas-powered trucks are essential for daily life. This is a policy for Silicon Valley, not Virginia.
🔻 The Virginia Clean Economy Act (VCEA) is a Recipe for Disaster – Mandating 100% clean electricity by 2045 sounds good in theory, but in reality, Virginia relies on natural gas for over 50% of its power. The left’s reckless push to shut down traditional energy sources without a viable alternative will lead to California-style blackouts, skyrocketing energy bills, and job losses in industries like coal and gas.
🔻 The Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) is a Tax on Working Families – This program drives up electricity costs, making it harder for families to make ends meet—all for a negligible impact on global emissions. Governor Youngkin has fought to get Virginia out of this scheme, but the left wants us locked in.
🔻 California-Style Energy Costs Are Coming – California’s obsession with eliminating fossil fuels has made it the most expensive state for electricity in the country—with regular blackouts and sky-high utility bills. Virginia must not follow in its footsteps.
🔻 The Green New Deal’s Hidden Costs – The radical left’s energy transition kills jobs, raises prices, and consolidates power in the hands of government bureaucrats and corporate utilities like Dominion Energy. Meanwhile, critical projects like the Mountain Valley Pipeline, which would ensure affordable and reliable natural gas, face endless pushback from environmental extremists.
Virginia is not California. We don’t need their failed policies. We need common-sense, Virginia-first solutions.
